Did Father Stage Alleged Attack? um...not likely

Hot off the press!!! Being assaulted by the opposing political candidates supporters at their own rally 3 times in 8 years…is considered suspicious.

The Times-Patriot commented on Phil Parlock’s recent visit to the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va., with three of his children to catch a glimpse of Democratic vice-presidential candidate John Edwards.

Parlock is a republican, and he and his family were there to show support for the Bush-Cheney ticket when they were assaulted by Kerry supporters, according to a report in the local paper, The Herald-Dispatch.

"Sophia, his three-year-old daughter, was holding a Bush-Cheney sign when angry Democrats ripped the sign from her tiny hands, making her burst into tears. A photographer with the Associated Press happened to be right there to capture the heartbreaking tears leaking from Sophia’s innocent eyes as she perched on her father’s shoulders."

Times-Patriot Headline reads:

"Did Father Stage Alleged Attack? Claims to have been assaulted by Dems three other times"

....whoa I’m shocked THREE TIMES for being at the opposing candidates rally in support of the other side! And all 3 of those times happened within EIGHT YEARS!!!

He must be faking it right? What are the chances this would happen to the same person under the same circumstances....oh wait...the chances are really good actually.

And what does he have to gain to go to all the trouble of faking it? Like the idea a political candidates supporters would be charged up enough to take the sign away from a kid even surprises anyone.

More Times-Patriot goofyness:

"A West Virginia man claims that Kerry supporters ripped a Bush-Cheney sign from his three-year-old daughter’s hands and made her cry. Is it just a coincidence that this same man once worked for the Bush campaign and has told similar stories in 1996, 2000, and two weeks ago? "

Working for the Bush Campaign huh...well what a coincidence that he would be there to show support.

I’m not saying the guy shouldn’t have seen it coming... to have his signs ripped down. I’m certain he had a feeling that might happen... it I mean what can you expect going into the lions den.

I believe you should be able to expect civility and free speech, but sadly we all know those ideas died out long ago for all sides of our political spectrum.
