Is Dielbold for apes what Skynet is for robots. hehe

One more bad report on the worthless Diebold touch-screen voting machines which, according to this article at the current time, will be used in more than 30 states.

Fox News:

Critics of the Diebold touch-screen voting machines turned their attention Wednesday from the machines themselves to the computers that will tally the final vote, saying the outcome is so easy to manipulate that even a monkey could do it.

In the minute-long video produced by Black Box Voting (search), Baxter the chimp is shown deleting the audit log that is supposed to keep track of changes in the Diebold central tabulator, the computer and program that keeps track of county vote totals.

nice

Black Box Voting founder Bev Harris said the demonstration shows that the system — which will be used in more than 30 states, including Maryland — is dangerously inadequate when it comes to stopping election fraud.

There is little doubt about this. For some reason states are seriously moving towards electronic voting when there has been no real serious effort to secure this process or in some states even know what that process is.

I watched a documentary the other night over slot machines. They showed how rigorously tested they are against any imaginable form of tampering. They are unbelievably secure machines put through all sorts of crazy tests.

The reason slot machines are so well made and tested is that the casinos have a high stake in them. They don’t want to loose money, and if these machines are hackable then they stand to loose everything.

Why don’t we feel the same way about our national election? Is it not as important?

If the electronic voting machine is hackable don’t we stand to loose everything?
