Today I went and saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (Trailer). I’ve been looking forward to seeing it for along time now and I got to say I really liked it a lot. It was uniquely filmed in the style of old movies but with all the conveniences of modern digital enhancements. It was like watching and old sci-fi and war movie if they had just had some CGI.

It didn’t loose its old style charm however because it’s really something very different and much more than a movie that looks like and old movie. In fact it’s best to go into seeing it without any expectations of the type of movie you are about to see. It’s defiantly a treat for those who like the old black and white sci-fi but it’s also a movie and style all its own.

I highly recommend this movie and give it 5 out of 5
