I found this excellent site last night, the Electoral Vote Predictor for the 2004 election.
This is a very handy and detailed website that gives you a visual and statistical view of the upcoming election based on polling and other data.
The site has a map of the country with red and blue states showing who is ahead in the Electoral College, along with graphs, charts, movies, spreadsheets, and commentary. They say it’s updated daily.
It even tracks the Senate elections.
There are other interesting statistical information such as the Electoral College Graph which has a horizontal line that shows the 270 electoral vote mark needed to be elected president and a blue and red line showing the current number of electoral votes for each candidate since May 24.
Also listed on the graph are events in the news such as the RNC and DNC conventions as well as other news items like the Fahrenheit 9/11 movie so you can see how what jumps in the polls they received.
They have polling graphs broken down by each state and an animated version of the map of the United States showing how things have changed from day to day.
The website also breaks down the different polling companies and gives you some information from each in order to evaluate them. You are also able to see the results from each polling company by state and the entire nation and compare them.
Very cool stuff and a great way to see it all.
