Oklahoma Election 2004; Let the Exploitation Begin

Mother and Children
against gay marriage - 1,075,079
for George Bush - 959,977
for the lottery - 928,303
against making sure the lottery money goes to education - 458,068
for new types of gambling games - 849,767

The big losers in all of this are the lower and middle class, as well as the unborn.

928,303 people in oklahoma like the idea of taking advantage of desperate people. They also dont mind keeping the middle class down, weakening economic conditions, and raising the abortion rate.

Christians are called to defend the poor and desperate...where were they?

Liberals champion themselves workers for an equal distrubution of wealth, and protecting the lower and middle class...where were they?

If you fit into either of these groups and voted for the lottery you are a hypocrite and a fool in the highest degree.

You might as well have gone out and kicked a poor mother and her children in the face and performed an abortion on her teenage daughter.

I better stop here and calm myself, but I have a some advice for people excited about playing the lottery. If you really want to have your money make money then do this instead (link). Also Dogs of the Dow or if you want Pigs of the Dow.

From the excellent weblog Okiedoke.com:

Governor Brad Henry publicly thanked voters for approving the measure; saying it was the only way to save Oklahoma education.

If gambling is the only way to save education, what are the options for saving lower priority state budget items like roads and bridges, law enforcement, parks and environmental protection?

Good question...any ideas pro-lottery folks?
