Frisky Frisking; Let me check what you are packing

airport security frisk
Back in October I wrote about about this woman who wouldn’t let her privates get fondled at the Denver International Airport and was banned from boarding the plane because of it. Well looks like this could be happening at an airport near you.

BostonHerald.com: Travelers passing through Logan International Airport this holiday may find that their private areas aren’t so private anymore when it comes to pat-down searches at security checkpoints.

Transportation Safety Administration officials say increased concerns about bombs being hidden on a person’s body require more intensive torso searches, and women’s breasts and the genital and buttocks regions of both sexes are not off-limits.

Really what increased concerns? Have we seen this happening a lot or even starting at all? What won’t surprise me is people will just go with it. They think all this makes them safer and they think that the threat is so bad they will submit to anything asked of them.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from this article:

``We really need our passengers to be our partners and to think about what they’re wearing and what they’re packing,'' TSA Northeast Security Director George Naccara said yesterday.

Think about what we are packing? I don’t want some dude touching what I am “packing”.

Naccara said travelers can decrease the probability of a secondary search by wearing form-fitting clothes...

So ladies dress sexy and you might not get fondled. Oh wait…hmmm.

Naccara said the secondary searches are conducted by TSA employees of the same sex as the traveler, and travelers may request they be taken to a separate room.

Same Sex as the Traveler huh, what will they do about homosexuals? Well honestly I would rather it be opposite sex myself. I’m not too hip to some dude touching my…well in the words of Security Director George Naccara “what (I’m) packing”.

``We want people to know what to expect,'' Davis said, adding that security officers who conduct the more intrusive secondary searches have been trained to tell the passengers where they plan to search before they do it.

Not that it really matters. And if you say “no” it gets you nowhere. Just bend over and take it people and don’t make a sound. (sarcasm)

Totally off-topic but you might want to read this as it would be of interest if you do the garden at Shekinah...

Also these folks can help churches who want to do gardens that provide food for the poor...

I talked to a guy who works for them this weekend and he says they can give advice on it and even have a tractor to help plow up the ground to start of with for larger gardens. Their main requirement though is that a large component of the garden be helping the poor in some way.

You know I think that the whole process of searching people would go a lot smoother if the airports would hire only really good looking people to do the searches. And, if you got to pick out of a group of really good looking people who you wanted to search you, then that would just be fun. I mean it would probably make lonley people want to fly more. Of course they might have to require this new elite group of good looking security guards to wear sexier, form-fitting uniforms.

Anyway, ex-models need jobs. They are usually too stupid for most jobs. I would also suggest, however, that ex-models not be given guns. Pretty-people already posess too much power.

Dan.
