There is Snow Way This is Easy

snowflake photography - Snow Crystals
We haven’t seen much snow this season here in Oklahoma so for those of you who haven’t seen many flakes this year, the frozen water kind not those people around you, I thought I would post a link to some amazing photos of snowflakes. These Snow Crystal Photographs are one of a kind…literally.

These images are a collaboration between Kenneth G. Libbrecht, Professor of Physics at Caltech, and Photographer Patricia Rasmussen.

This site also has some of history of snow photography and details on how its done as well as information on Snowflake Physics and how to grow your own in a controlled lab environment.

They also have put together a collection of their photographs in a coffee table book.

Interesting indeed.
