Well I am back from my trip through the great state of Wisconsin. Looking back it was a great but fast trip. It was really 6 days total because the trip up and trip back both take up 2 days.
We headed out July 28th at around 6am straight up through Kansas City Iowa on our way to the Farm.
Alex is now at the age he asks “Are we there yet? When are we going to get there?” over and over and over.
We have started to break our trip up and back into 2 days to make it easier for everyone. I don’t know how my mom did it alone for over 25 years with 3 kids driving up there all in one day. We had Brandi, I, the two kids and my mom and we still had to stop and stay in a hotel.
The hotel we stay in is the AmericInn located in Ames Iowa. If you are traveling and want a guaranteed nice stay always look for an AmericInn. They are the best with everything you could want.
They have an in door pool and both boys couldn’t wait to swim. Alex is now getting the concept of swimming, but Parker isnt confident enough yet. He hugged the handrail that come down from the steps into the pool and pretty much doesn’t let go.
We arrived at the farm in the evening that next day.
We stayed at my Aunt Ginny’s the first 2 nights.
HEre are some photos from day 1 and day 2...
