After we left the farm that morning we headed off on our way to Appleton, Wi, to visit my Uncle Gary and his family. It’s around a 3 hour trip and we arrived that afternoon around lunch. Gary was home when we arrived.
That evening we went to Lake Winnebago, by High Cliff State Park, to let the kids swim. Gary, Eric, Mom, Brandi, Anna, Alex, Parker, and I all went. The water was warm and the wind made large waves for the kids to play in.
After swimming we decided to go clime a large wooded tower to see the sunset. We got to the top just in time to watch is fall below the horizon.
Lake Winnebago is home to the unique Winnebago lake fly, and they were out in full force thick as a dust storm. I think I probably swallowed a couple.
