Dharma And Greg The Lost Logo!

lost_dharma.jpg

A montage I put together of the new Dharma logo on Lost we caught glimpse of last wed. night. Scott separated the sections of the logo and laid them out so they could be seen better. Thanks to Glen for pointing out the logo on the shark; I completely missed it.

I wonder what it means?

Wikipedia - "Dharma" derives from the verbal root dhri, which simply means "manner of being." The term must therefore be understood in its original (i.e. metaphysical) context, that of a conformity to a divine or creative principle at work in an individual and in nature. It represents the individual’s internal law, to which obedience must be given if that individual life is to live in accordance with a Divine Will.

But Dharma is also Greg’s wife and a flower child. She is extremely peppy and ditzy, but she also seems to be more compassionate and forgiving than most people. Dharma encourages Greg to seek happiness, rather than fret about practical issues like money.

Could it just be leftover items from the other ABC show Dharma and Greg?

We shall see!!

Update:

Thomas was correct. The logo is a Ba Gua Zhang (BGZ) (Translated as Eight Diagram Palms)

http://www.shaolinhungmei.org/theory2.htmlThe sequence of broken and solid lines shown on each side of the Pa Qua are indicative of the times during the day when our 108 critical points of the body are safe from injuries which could otherwise cause serious harm.

That symbol is actually a chinese bagua. A lot of different asian cultures China, Korea and Japan use this symbol. each section of lines stands for something different. Bagua's are commonly used you to ward off evil.

You are 100% correct

The three jewels of Buddhism are the Buddha, the Dharma (which means truth) and the Sangha (the community).

But What about the "Greg"?

I have a feeling that the logo and hatch might not have as much to do with things as we are led to think; probably just a part of things but then again maybe everything.

For all I know Desmond could have been on the island because he was part of some environmental spiritual community and they got stranded there by the numbers and he is forced to reset the clock every 108 minutes or the thing blows up.

The logo, of course, is because the community had a crack marketing team, and who doesnt brand their shark???

I bet that the cut out part of the Logo is the numbers but in like morse code or something like that. Just an idea.

4-8-15-16-23-42=108
Anyone?

In LOST Bernard goes to the toilet on the plane but on the Island when he is in the tree he is in a chair.....FREAKY.........just in case you don't know 4+8+15+16+23+42=108..........

uhmmmm, i saw it on the shark but didnt no if it was a dharma logo or not, i think that there are eight bases on the island making the logo

Remember when Desmond was talking to Locke, and he amidiately asked him if anyone was sick? The french lady, what's her name, is ALWAYS talking about sickness and stuff, so isn't it weird that they were both found an the Island BEFORE the plane crashed and are both conserned about getting sick?????? Maybe they're know something!!

My other point is that Desmond's frase, "So you in another life" was used by Dave, Hurley's
posibly imaginary friend when he jumped off the cliff to what might be ANOTHER LIFE!!!

do you know the way the logo of the darma is in a octogon, well did u know that if you add up the angles of an octogon they add up to 108 degrees and when you add up hurley's numbers they add up to 108 so i think that the numbers are very significant to the show

what if the numbers are a phone number
