Kindergarden Thanksgiving Feast

Alex had his Thanksgiving Feast Tuesday Nov 22. We brought pumpkin pie. Parker and I went to the school early to help set up.

The 2 kindergarten classes were in the library putting on their costumes. Alex’s class was pilgrims and the other class was Indians.

The grown ups were busy making 40 plates to serve the children. I was expecting crackers cheese lunchmeat and sweets, but they had a wonderful meal. Someone made a turkey and sliced it, there was dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, rolls and of course pumpkin pie!

The teachers laid out brown paper for a table and the children sat Indians across from pilgrims. It was a very cute idea. The kids were encouraged to try every item on their plate. Alex didn’t want to try stuffing but learned he actually likes it.

All the kids tried all of their food and at the end 2 girls (an Indian and a pilgrim) pulled the wish bone. Parker got in on the action by eating 2 corn on the cobs. It was lots of fun.
